Credit4Life
A board game for key stages 3 and 4, that provides the chance to experience financial situations that can arise during a month. Pupils experience the effects of necessary expenditure, unexpected events and impulse purchases on income as well as the dangers of debt. The idea is great because it will stimulate pupil’s awareness surrounding the implications of debt, pupils will be encouraged to discuss their options, justify their decisions and explore the consequences of their actions.

Karen Fuller's comment:
Credit 4 Life
I have used Credit 4 Life with a group of lively Year 10s who thoroughly enjoyed it. The game helps pupils to experience the effects that planned expenditure, unexpected events and impulse purchases can have on their income as well as the dangers of debt.
Quotes from Year 10 pupils:
On credit cards – 'I didn’t realise that it isn’t really your money that you are spending.’
‘It’s so easy to get into trouble with money if you don’t plan for things.’
