pfeg urges you to respond to the current curriculum consultation and support the recommendation that PSHE education becomes statutory
In 2008 Ministers announced their intention to make PSHE education statutory and set up the Macdonald Review. The Review's report, published in April 2009, recommends that PSHE education, which includes detailed content on financial capability, should become a compulsory foundation subject in secondary schools and a compulsory area of learning in primary schools.
