Overview

The first part of the resource explores the key factors involved in making the transition into independent living through the use of four case studies which aim to illustrate a range of independent living options and the choices involved in these.

The second half of the resource offers a range of practical activities and opportunities that can be used with young people to support teaching and learning.

Towards the end of the resource there is a glossary section which provides additional information and ideas on the four case studies, and further information about housing options and the terminology associated with independent living.
