Your Money and Your Life
A useful resource to help pupils consider different aspects of personal finance both in their present lives and in preparation for the future. The resource is set out in 10 modules of work, these include: video diaries from 5 key characters that will help to invoke class debate, discussion and personal reflection, key activities for pupils to work collaboratively on, teacher lesson plans and magazine style ‘take-away’ information sheets for pupils to take home.
This resource manages to cover a wide range of personal finance topics in a clear and concise manner, aims and learning outcomes are very clearly stated. The teachers notes provide clear instructions on how to manage and present each module of the resource. It can be taught as a complete series or in individual modules as required and video clips provide an easy to understand introduction to each topic. The inclusion of computer and identity theft as well as gambling ensures that this resource is fully up to date.

This resource manages to cover a wide range of personal finance topics in an imaginative and informative manner. The flexibility afforded in the methods of use enhances the product. The teachers notes are very concise and the suggested lessons are very clear. The video clips, although done in a light and humorous manner, gets their message over very clearly and enhances the overall message of the resource.
