Assessor's comments
This resource is very well presented and the information is conveyed in an easy to read format which is also light and funny. Always a good thing with involved topics. The worksheets and tasks are well thought out and the suggestions for differentiation enhances their value. The involvement of parents is essential and is well covered.
The stories are engaging and build most effectively on using the children’s experiences of life to move them on to understand the more complex scenarios of adult life. Children would be well motivated by the clear plot of each story and benefit from the supportive illustrations. Activities are lively and suitably challenging, and offer a good sense of progression. Overall they should meet the aims of the resource.
Teachers would appreciate the simplicity of the 3 activities for both ‘Saving ‘and ‘Borrowing’ in the teacher’s book, with the opportunities to extend learning through the additional optional activities.
