useyourexpertise.org is a website where secondary school teachers can register their interest in having a trained volunteer come and help them in their classroom. Additionally volunteers from participating organisations can register to volunteer in the classroom. All volunteers adhere to a code of conduct, undertake a bespoke training programme and are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (enhanced disclosure), to give teachers the reassurance they need when involving members of the community in school life.

MyBnk offers the first FSA approved mini bank specifically designed for secondary/supplementary schools and colleges. Each MyBnk branch provides savings facilities and small interest free loans for setting up mini enterprises. The branch is run by trained MyBnkers (students) with support from the MyBnk Mentor (a teacher) and MyBnk staff.

Financial Capability
This site contains a range of resources that teachers find useful to support developing Financial Capability either as part of a themed week or in timetabled lessons throughout the year. The activities and resources can be taken as ready-to-use or can be adapted or extended easily to suit teachers’ own preferences and the needs of their pupils. The Success Stories provide inspiring examples of good practice across the key stages. Through games and competitions, there are many opportunities for active pupil engagement and assessment of pupil learning. The section on Engaging with Parents (within ‘Resources and Activities’) contains good tips and ideas for involving parents around in-school and home activities that will help them support their children’s learning of money matters.
