This module requires students to work in small groups, each with clearly defined roles and responsibilities focussed on setting up a business. Each of these roles provides the opportunity for the e exploration of financial concepts and scenarios.
This is an excellent interactive group-based resource for business enterprise containing many tasks and activities. It can be used to promote financial capability and be linked to many other curriculum areas, as well as be used to develop life skills such as decision making and creativity. The resource can be used immediately without much preparation if needed.

The Key Stage 4 activities can be used for the Key Stage 3 pupils. It is also suited to gifted and talented pupils, as it allows for limited guidance from the teachers after the initial briefing.

This resource is ideal for Enterprise Education. It develops both financial capability, business and economic understanding as well as providing opportunities for the students to demonstrate their enterprise skills.
Quality resources are provided for the students to consider what is necessary to set up their own business: a film including advice from people who have already set up a small business, documentation, glossary of business terms, business roles and responsibilities.

Excellent for off timetable days
I have recommended this resource to many of the schools I work with for KS3 and 4. It links well to Business Studies, WRL, Careers, PSHE and Maths.
A MoneySense coach will actually come into school free of charge and deliver this session with you, they even do all the photocopying!
I worked with Y9 in a school in Manchester on an off timetable day using this resource during My Money Week, it worked really well. The pupils really enjoyed working in groups and playing to their strengths; maths, creativity, marketing etc. Food is a topic that appeals to most young people and I was amazed with the exciting menus they came up with that really represented the ethnic diversity of the catchment area, so encourage them to add extra items to the food lists.
