Money Diaries
This resource produced by the Debt Advice Foundation comprises three books, available in both hard copy and online. The books are accompanied by a number of financial literacy guides.
Each publication has two diaries, which through well-written stories in diary form, illustrate important aspects of personal finance. The two diaries in each volume complement each other in that one shows the 'wrong' way of doing things and the other the 'right' way. Each book ends with a glossary of essential financial terms.
The Money Diaries resources have been produced through a working partnership between Southlands School, Chorley, Lancashire and the Debt Advice Foundation.

Assessor's comments
This is a great resource for KS2, 3 and 4 pupils, presenting financial issues through the words of their peers. The format is good and the teacher’s notes provide a wide range of activities, from discussion topics to role-plays to enable pupils to develop and consolidate their understanding of the topics covered.
This resource is presented in a clear and concise manner which your student will enjoy and find easy to work with. The teachers notes provide a very good variety of follow up exercises and tasks. They also give clear guidance to teachers as to the suitability for each booklet for various age groups and to the expected learning outcomes.
