Assessor's comments
This is probably the first personal financial resource produced for students with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and is specifically designed as such. It is therefore a very useful tool for teachers working with children and adults with an ASD. It is designed both in a workbook form but there is also a website, well designed and clearly laid out, which students can use.
The multimedia approach to the material, i.e. drop and drag quizzes, video clips and clear pages presenting just the right amount of information with clickable links to the glossary, provides a resource that can be used with a wider audience that people with an ASD.
This resource is an excellent starting point for planning any financially themed lessons for people with an ASD, or a range of MLD. It is accessible and well explained, and importantly offers a wide range of ideas for discussion and exploration.
