Making Money Real
Financial capability is an essential skill for all young people. However, some of the most vulnerable young people who could benefit hugely from learning about money matters do not attend mainstream school. To help address this gap, pfeg developed a three-year project supported by Barclays focusing on supporting teachers and staff in pupil referral units (PRUs) to design and deliver programmes of personal finance education. The case studies in this guide are drawn from that work, which involved over 300 young people and 90 teaching and support staff in 21 PRUs across England.
