Assessor's comments

This site covers a wide range of financial topics in a direct but simple manner. The lesson plans are well laid out and the objectives and learning outcomes are clearly defined. The fact that the teacher is able to download work sheets and the lesson plans adds value to the site content.

The film on debt is a great idea as it provides students with ‘real’ information. The section on identity fraud is a unique but essential inclusion, as it is a growing concern that can affect anyone. The glossary and associated links are useful and the overall package is a very valuable resource.

S Fulford's comment:

Make Money Make Sense

This resource is great, I found it helpful to have a pfeg consultant help me decide on which bits to use as there is so much and I don't have the curriculum time to use it all. Be prepared to tailor make some of the presentations as they are a bit 'wordy' but better than starting from scratch. The student's site is great because they could research the bits they were really interested in and it gave me an idea of what they did and didn't know already.
