The material is presented as three separate themes, each containg a series of tasks. The first called ‘Planning for the Future’, sponsored by Prudential is aimed at establishing a working knowledge of investment: as an investment against an uncertain future, and as an investment in the future through planning for higher education and training.

PricewaterhouseCoopers project has as its theme Ethical Business Practice and considers three areas: the need for Ethical Business Practice, Stakeholders/Corporate Social Responsibility and Money for a Good Cause (fundraising).

Whitbread’s projects are focused on Leisure with two elements of personal and business finance: The role of Leisure and Tourism in the UK, Economy and The effect of Leisure and Tourism on Employment Opportunities

Assessor's comments

This resource will deliver Key Skills evidence for level 3 through studying various financial aspects. The units are formal and require a high reading age. They are designed to be used either through direct delivery or once introduced supported self study units. The units are quite flexible in terms of how you deliver them and provide plenty of scope for individuals. Students may however need support in terms of time and portfolio management.
