Assessor's comments

The easy to use session packs provide realistic information in a clear and concise manner. Although the resource is presented as six separate lessons, it could be used in smaller presentations depending on the needs of the students. Teachers may find that they could enhance their students' understanding by inviting in an expert speaker from the finance industry. The website addresses supplied allow the students the facility of further investigation in their own time.

The resource covers the whole area of personal borrowing and consumer credit in a lively and informative way, using a case study which builds a picture of Jeff Penney and his credit journey. It provides clear lesson plans and good quality supporting information as well as all the student material needed to explore a range of topics around consumer credit. It is an important addition in improving understanding an area that is of concern to students as they make decisions about how they will fund their future plans and the implications of some of those decisions. This resource would provide a good foundation to personal financial capability within enterprise education.
