Creditability

Creditability - front page © resourceimage/45_Creditability.jpg

This is a highly interactive graphically rich computer game, developed by Experian and Caspian Learning, which simulates environments in which young people are likely to find themselves within a few years.

The objective of this resource is to navigate a custom made character through the different areas, collecting information and answering questions on various financial topics, some which are not often addressed by other resources, for example identity fraud.

Students are required to use their skills of co-ordination, thinking, knowledge of financial issues and comprehension to steer their character through the game. Creditability aims to develop responsible credit users. There are teacher notes with lesson plans and extension activities for each section.

Assessor's comments

'Creditability’ is a challenging interactive online game which takes students through stages of their life where credit may become an issue, e.g. University, getting a mortgage.  It requires students to use their skills of co-ordination, thinking, knowledge of financial issues and comprehension.  As an exercise, it ought to warn students off credit for life.
