Student Finance Day
Student Finance Day, on November 14, is a national day dedicated to explaining the 2012 changes to student finance in England. The main aim of the campaign is simple - to ensure people understand how the new student finance package works before they make a decision as to whether they can afford to go to university. The day is being organised by the Taskforce alongside the National Association of Student Money Advisers (NASMA) and the Higher Education Liaison Officers Association (HELOA).
The aim is to encourage universities, schools and colleges to work together on this day to ensure prospective students, their parents, teachers and the media all understand the implications of the new student finance system in England from 2012. The Taskforce hope to encourage prospective students to think about their finances when applying to go to university from 2012 onwards and make them aware of the support available within universities, colleges and students unions and where they can go to access this financial support.
There are a number of tools and resources available through the Taskforce website aimed at both teachers and students http://www.studentfinance2012.com/resources
