My Money and My Money Week are initiatives funded by the DfE to support teachers in delivering effective schemes of personal finance education in schools; and in turn helping pupils become financially capable as they prepare for the financial challenges that await them in the outside world.
This year My Money Week runs from 28 June to 4 July and this activity pack aims to inspire you and your students to get involved. The pack is brimming with fantastic, flexible activity ideas to help you teach personal finance across the curriculum in My Money Week and beyond. In the pack you will find:
• flexible and fun teaching resources, including lesson plans, starter activities, assembly ideas and quizzes
• a My Money Week classroom poster to help inspire your pupils
• a pack of challenging scenario cards to help you bring money dilemmas to life in class…or even in the staff room!
The My Money website mymoneyonline.org is being updated during March so that you can find more ideas, inspiring videos from young people, support from Tinchy Stryder and much more to help you plan and teach personal finance.
