This new website from The Financial Services Authority aims to get to the bottom of money matters - 'no selling, no jargon, just the facts'. It contains information to help consumers get to grips with the financial implications of major life events through the use of step-by-step guides, covering life events. It also contains useful tools such as the enhanced budget calculator, mortgage calculator and the 'compare products' tables.

Project Business UK
A resource comprising of a Business and Teacher manual with photocopiable resources for activities, with a CD containing all the activities and other suggestions. This is a six/seven unit activity. It is facilitated by a business partner with the support of a teacher.

The Red Box
www.redbox.gov.uk invites visitors to take on management of The Square. Through playing games and answering questions students must raise enough money to maintain, or preferably improve, the services offered in The Square. Students control their own budget and thus gain experience of how decisions about tax and public spending are made.
There are two different versions of the site, one suitable for 7-11 year olds and one for 11-16 year olds. Both can be used as standalone ICT resources or in conjunction with the material provided for each age group.
The materials and the website could be used to develop an interesting and exciting enterprise activity where students, working in groups, take responsibility for the services in The Square, allowing them to make decisions about how money is spent on the community.
