pfeg (Personal Finance Education Group) is a charity with the aim of ensuring that all young people leave school with the confidence, skills and knowledge they need in financial matters to participate fully in society. Financial capability is now high on the government's agenda and there is currently a major drive for every pupil to access a programme of personal finance education.


Education Consultants

£46,350 - various locations working from home

Reporting to the relevant Regional Director you will be responsible for providing training, advice and support to local authorities, schools and other stakeholders within the region on the provision of best quality personal finance education within the curriculum.

We are seeking individuals with direct experience of the education sector in England, with a very good understanding of the issues affecting change and of how to influence what is taught in schools. You will be comfortable working from home, with support, and contributing, as a member of a regional team, in a growing and changing organisation. A successful track record in providing training, advice and consultancy in an educational context is essential. Experience of working in, or supporting, primary schools would be desirable.

Freelance Consultants

£425 per day - four opportunities

From September 2008 we are seeking freelance consultants to support our work in Cheshire, Bristol, Plymouth and Kent. Consultants will provide 100 days of support from September 2008 to August 2009 to the local authorities in these areas. Applicants should have experience of working with primary schools and an interest in, and commitment to, personal finance education.
