The pfeg team is pretty impressive. Our CEO, Wendy Van den Hende has many years experience in the voluntary and public sector.

Our Chair, Ron Sandler is a leading figure in business and has advised on financial regulation.

And our senior management team have a wealth of cross sector experience, as do our staff.

Locally, we have regional offices throughout England.

Since it started in 2000 pfeg has achieved a great deal:

  • Become the leading authority on financial capability education in schools in the UK
  • Pioneered financial education with the ground breaking Excellence and Access initiative showing the most effective way for young people to become financially capable
  • Played a pivotal role in the FSA's national strategy on financial capability, responsible for delivering a one stop shop service to teachers with funding of £17m over 5 years - the Learning Money Matters initiative
  • Established the highly regarded pfeg Quality Mark for recommended teaching resources
  • Developed and managed a range of effective projects which are building knowledge, raising standards and developing best practice (click here for a full list)
  • Set up the pfeg Forum - a cross sector network of over 70 organisations with an interest in personal finance education in schools
  • Established a developing programme of financial education in primary schools in partnership with HSBC -What Money Means
